Ipinfra Networks Clinches ASEAN Startup Award for AI-Powered Cattle Monitoring Innovation

Ipinfra Networks Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian agritech technology company headquartered in Cyberjaya, has been awarded the Digital & Artificial Intelligence (AI) Category Winner at the prestigious One ASEAN Startup Award 2024.
The achievement recognises Ipinfra Networks’ breakthrough innovation, Cattle AI.Apps — a mobile-based AI solution that enables farmers to estimate cattle weight quickly and accurately using only images or video, eliminating the need for physical weighing equipment.
The technology empowers livestock farmers to optimise feed planning, monitor animal growth, support breeding decisions, and improve overall farm productivity — enabling modern digital livestock management even in remote or rural environments.

Developed by a seven-member engineering and AI team over nearly eight months, Cattle AI.Apps is among Malaysia’s pioneering solutions in digital livestock analytics and smart agriculture technology.
As category champion, Ipinfra Networks received US$10,000 prize funding and a recognition plaque, and has now advanced to the final round of the competition to be hosted in Vientiane, Laos later this year.
The One ASEAN Startup Award is organised by the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), in collaboration with JETRO and the Techo Startup Centre Cambodia, to accelerate innovation and support high-impact startups in the region.
ERIA Managing Director, Aladdin D. Rillo, highlighted that the award reflects strong momentum in Southeast Asia’s innovation ecosystem, driven by digital transformation in agriculture, industry and public services.

Ipinfra Networks’ milestone comes as Malaysia strengthens its position as a regional technology hub and advances its national digital economy and food security agenda.
